WELCOME RIPPLES 2026! (On behalf of Coach Maddie)

Good afternoon, Westridge Waves families!

My name is Maddie Doyle, and I am thrilled to be returning as the Ripples Coach for the 2026 summer season!

Westridge has been a special part of my life for many years. I grew up swimming with the Westridge Waves, starting at age 7 and continuing through my senior year of high school. Along the way, I had the privilege of serving as a team captain and helping with the Ripples program for several seasons. I also served as the Ripples Coach in 2023, and I am so excited to be back this summer!

Outside of the pool, I am currently a senior at Liberty University, where I am completing my Elementary Education degree. My passion for working with children extends from the classroom to the pool deck, and I love helping young swimmers build confidence, develop new skills, and enjoy being part of a team.

I look forward to working with your children and helping make this a fun, positive, and successful season for everyone. I can't wait to meet our new Ripples and reconnect with returning families. Here's to a fantastic summer with the Westridge Waves! 🏊💙🌊

I have attached the Ripples schedule below. Please feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns throughout the season.

If you were unable to attend our evaluation day, your child was initially placed in a group based on their age. We will continue to assess swimmers during the first few practices and make any necessary adjustments to ensure each child is placed in the group that best fits their skill level and needs.

Each group will meet Monday through Thursday for its assigned 25-minute practice session. Swimmers will be instructed by our team captains, who will work closely with them to develop water confidence, improve swimming skills, and make learning fun throughout the season.

Please note that instructors may rotate throughout the summer due to team schedules, meets, vacations, and other commitments. While we strive to provide as much consistency as possible, our priority is ensuring that every group receives quality instruction from experienced Waves swimmers and coaches.

To help accommodate family schedules, we will be offering an evening practice option for swimmers who have expressed a need for a later time slot. These practices will run from 6:00–7:00 PM. Please note that instructors may rotate throughout the summer based on scheduling needs, though we will strive to provide as much consistency as possible.
