OHHH MONDAY… you’re back again, and so of course I’m back with a look at what’s on the horizon for this week. Buckle up, Waves, because we’ve got a full lineup of fun, food, floats, and the FINAL HOME MEET of the season.

1. LAST HOME MEET: Declare Your Swimmer!

2. Wednesday Breakfast: Croissants!

This week’s breakfast is croissants, and our swimmers devour these like they’ve been training for a pastry triathlon. If you can help us feed these hungry champions, please sign up. We appreciate every single contribution, truly. Signup Calendar - Westridge Waves

3. Wednesday Night: FLOAT‑IN MUSIC & GLOW NIGHT (6–9 PM)

One of our favorite summer traditions is getting a makeover, and we’re VERY excited about it. Instead of a Float‑In Movie Night, we’re turning the pool into a glowing, floating, music‑filled party!

Bring your favorite float and get ready for an evening of games, food, splashing, and a whole lot of glowing fun. We learned (again!) that summer movies don’t stand a chance against July sunlight, so we’re ditching the screen and turning up the vibes.

Kids can float the night away while families enjoy a fun, low‑key, neon‑bright Waves hangout. It’s going to be a cozy, glowing, music‑powered community night, and we can’t wait to see everyone there.

4. End‑of‑Season Banquet: Tickets Now On Sale!

Waves End‑of‑Season Banquet: Updated for 2026! We’re changing things up just a little this year, and we think you’re going to love it.

This special event is reserved ONLY for immediate family, and tickets are $20 per FAMILY (one price covers your swimmer(s) and their immediate household). Children two and under do not need a ticket.

Before purchasing, please double‑check your family count, once our final list is submitted, we won’t be able to issue refunds.

Event Details

• When: Sunday, July 26, 2026 
• Time: 1:30 PM (Banquet begins promptly!) 
• Where: VFW Post 1503 – Dale City 14631 Minnieville Road, Woodbridge
• Attire: Summer Smart Casual 
• Cost: $20 per immediate family 
• Ticket Deadline: Tuesday, July 21 

IMPORTANT: Please add the total number of family members attending in the personalization section at checkout.

We’ll have a list at the door, no physical tickets required.

We’ll be serving light bites and desserts, so please eat lunch before you come. The bar will be open as a cash bar (not included in ticket price).

• After‑Party at the Waves Pool! Once the formal banquet wraps up, the celebration continues! At 4:00 PM, we invite ALL Waves families back to the Westridge Waves pool for one last team swim together. We’ll have a food truck, music, and some good old‑fashioned end‑of‑season fun.

Waves... this week is packed, the season is flying, and every single one of you is the reason this team feels like home. Thank you for showing up, cheering loud, volunteering hard, feeding swimmers, floating under the stars, and celebrating every moment of this wild, wonderful summer.

We’re heading into our final stretch, and we’re doing it together, with joy, pride, and that signature Waves spirit that makes our community unlike any other. Let’s make this week unforgettable and let’s celebrate every splash, smile, and swimmer that makes the Waves who we are.
